About Christopher Cox

Christopher Cox

Saint Lucian artist and environmentalist, Dr. Christopher Cox, began painting wildlife and environmental themes when he joined the St. Lucia Forestry Department in 1985, shortly after leaving school. His professional specialization is in the field of water resources and watershed management. Over the years Chris not only worked in Saint Lucia, but also across the Caribbean, assisting countries in improving the management of their water resources. He joined the UN Environment (UNEP) in 2014, where he spent almost 5 years in Nairobi Kenya, followed by a posting in Panama City, Panama since 2019, where his work has focused on marine pollution, land degradation and biodiversity management.
